I’m not a makeup guru by any means and I was late to the bandwagon when it comes to makeup. Regardless, doing my makeup is one of my favorite routines. I love all the different colors and brushes.
Although I am not an expert on makeup and my routine is super simple and natural (That is my preferred look). I still wanted to share with you guys some of my favorite products I use. Now let’s get on to the fun part, the makeup:
The Basis:
The first product that I use, is my “Make Up Forever, HD Foundation” I love how smooth it is and I only need two pumps to cover all of my face. On a sidetone, I love the coverage it has. I have acne scarring and I love how a little goes a long way, and it covers most of my imperfections. Because I like a natural look, if a small pimple or two show through I don’t mind it that much 🙂 I use a beauty blender to smooth it out. I love the natural airbrush look it gives. Afterwards, I like to use my “YSL Highlighter in radiant touch” and to set it all off I use my “Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder” I have never had a powder that works so great. It glides on so smoothly and it makes my dark circles disappear. This product is perfection!!!
The Eyes:
For my eyes, I love to keep it simple. My favorite eyeshadows that I gravitate towards the most are matte eyeshadows. If you couldn’t tell by the picture (I have put quite a dent in it). I have used Nude and Cashmere Bunny from “Too Faced: Natural Eyes” the most. I love to apply matt eyeshadows on my crease with my Sephora Brush though any fluffy brush could do the trick. I love to swipe it back and forth in my crease. To top off my eye makeup, I curl my eyelashes and add some black mascara. I love the “Loreal mascara volume million lash mascara” I love how it separates my lashes. If I want to be a little bold, I mix Loreal and “Too Face, better than sex waterproof mascara.”
The Finishing Touches:
I go back to my face and add a little bit of bronzer to add some color to my face. My holy grail product is the NYC in the color Sunny. It is such a beautiful bronzer and it doesn’t leave you looking orange or too muddy, its the perfect bronze color. Bonus, over the summer, I love using as a bronzer and using it as an eyeshadow and applying it all over my crease. It gave my eyes a beautiful effect. To finish off my entire look, I add some blush. I alternate between two blushes, “Nars Orgasm” and “Milani Baked Blush in Berry Amore” They both look so similar. honestly!
As you can tell from my makeup routine it’s very simple. I’m not really good at wing eyeliner or filling in my eyebrows hehe, its something I am still working on! My eyebrows are definitely not on fleak (Do People still say this? haha). If you have any makeup products that you love. I would love to hear about them.
