Hello Lovelies,
Well, it is the first day of February in California and although we don’t get crazy winters like in other places (I send some California sunshine rays to you :)) January was not as sunny as it usually is. I wasn’t used to the constant rain and the gray clouds outside. Therefore, I needed some motivation to get out of my mood that matched the weather. Here are some tips that helped me get out of my sluggish ways and hopefully they help you too.
01.Drink up!
Have a glass of water next to you and drink it right away. I’m certain, this is not the first time that you have heard this before. But it is so vital. Having water first thing in the morning next to your bedside table and drinking it, wakes you up immediately.
02.Open up your window
I know there isn’t going to be much sunlight there, but trust me, some sunlight is better than no sunlight. Even the little sunlight that is coming in will let you know that it is daytime and you should probably be up.
03.Go outside!
Just because it’s looking a little gloomy doesn’t mean you cant enjoy some fun outdoor activities. As a kid, when the sky was gray and there was lots of wind, my bother and I loved going to the park nearest to us and flying kites. Trust me, there are so many things to do. If you live where it snows, if it is safe enough, bundle up and take a walk, build a snowmen, or clear up your driveway.
04.If all else fails, stay inside.
If the winter climate is not your fav (I’m with you sista!) there are so many things that you can do indoors. Maybe, you can try out a new recipe, or read a book, spend time learning a new language (Bonjour!). No? No? Okay. Just because it is winter does not mean you cant have fun and be productive.
