As I move deeper into summer, I’m embracing this season not just for the sunshine and slow mornings—but as a chance to reset, reflect, and realign with what matters most. In this post, I’m diving into my July goals and intentions, sharing my updated morning and night routines, and reflecting on June’s highs and challenges. If you’re in your 30s (or approaching them), I hope this inspires you to design a life that’s more intentional, creative, and joyful.
Reflecting on June: The Highs and the Lows
Before stepping into a new month, I always take a moment to look back. Reflecting on what worked—and what didn’t—gives me clarity and helps me plan more intentionally moving forward.
✨ June Highlights:
- Nervous System Reset: After months of non-stop work during the school year, June gave me the space to breathe. I slowed down, released the pressure to be perfect, and truly embraced grace.
- Family Time: We celebrated my brother’s birthday with a trip to Catalina Island. Getting out and exploring new places reminds me how important it is to live life outside of routines.
- Therapy: I started going to therapy, and having someone to talk to has been incredibly grounding.
- Real Estate Journey: I took a huge step by enrolling in a real estate course. Property and home design have always fascinated me, and it feels amazing to pursue something I’m truly passionate about.
🌧 June Challenges:
- The State of the World: As an empath, it’s hard to tune out the chaos happening globally. News and social media can feel overwhelming, and I’ve had to set boundaries to protect my peace.
- Mental Fatigue: Some days, I felt weighed down by everything outside my control. But recognizing those feelings helped me be gentler with myself.
A 30s Glow-Up: Reclaiming Creativity
Turning 30 has felt like a turning point. I’m entering a new chapter, one where I’m showing up for myself more boldly, playfully, and creatively.
This summer, I’m leaning into the hobbies that bring me joy:
- Painting and creative journaling
- Scrapbooking and vision boarding
- Dressing up for fun, not for others
- Exploring new makeup looks and colorful accessories
These aren’t just hobbies—they’re part of how I reconnect with myself.
July Habits: Building from the Ground Up
My anchor habit for July is a consistent morning and night routine. These routines give me structure, peace of mind, and set the tone for a productive day.
Once those are solid, I plan to stack smaller micro-habits on top like:
- Daily hydration
- More movement throughout the day
- Journaling consistently
- Time-blocking creative hours
My July Goals & Intentions
Here are my main goals for July:
🌞 Finish My Real Estate Course & Schedule the Exam
This has been on my to-do list for too long. I’m proud of the progress I’ve made and plan to stay consistent.
🎨 Have Fun with Creative Outlets
Whether it’s painting, trying new makeup looks, or planning cute summer outfits, I want to express myself freely and have fun with it.
☀️ Spend More Time Outdoors
My goal is to start with 20 minutes of sunshine each day and gradually increase to an hour. I want to enjoy the summer weather, soak up Vitamin D, and maybe even get a light tan.

My Favorite Things This Month
📚 Book: Bride by Ali Hazelwood
This month I read Bride on my library app and loved it so much I bought a physical copy. Ali’s writing is witty and her banter is unmatched. I gave it a 4/5 and can’t wait to read more from her.
💍 Jewelry: Italian Bracelets & Gold Fidget Rings
I discovered the cutest Italian bracelets on Etsy—so nostalgic and perfect for summer stacking. I also picked up some fidget rings during my Catalina trip that help ease anxiety. And I’ve been layering them with a colorful choker and charm necklace to create a playful, summer vibe.
💅 Nail Color: Orange-Red Gel Polish
I was looking for the perfect summer shade and finally found it—a fiery red with an orange undertone that compliments my medium complexion beautifully. It makes every outfit feel brighter.
