01. I never really went to one single elementary school as a kid, my family and I we moved around allot and because of that it was really difficult to make friends let alone remains friends.
Every single year I found myself at a new school and that’s finally when I put my foot down and told my parents I wanted to remain at one school for middle school and high school.
I think that’s also part of why I’m such an introvert-shy person.
02. Growing up all I wanted to be was a teacher. I remember playing teacher with my friends and using the mirror from the dresser as a whiteboard. Honestly, I had no clue what I was teaching, but you best believe I had a classroom with everything and my own makeshift whiteboard 😉
As I got older I started doing things like volunteering at my local elementary school, one of my very first jobs during college was a tutor and now I’m currently in the process of getting a job as an instructional aide.
03. I have only been to two concerts my whole life, and I’m 23 years old. They were Ariana Grande and Ed Sheeran! Not that I don’t love them, I do. I just need to get around to them more often… still working on this one hehe
04. My love for coffee didn’t really start until I was in college.
I feel like coffee has recently become really trendy and honestly, thats not why started drinking it, but it was my lifesaver during finals week and I had 2 hours of sleep that WEEK and on top of that I had been awake all night and had to wake up early for morning classes.
Needless to say, it’s a staple of my life now.
05. On the topic of coffee. I really really LOVE coffee shops, I love the environment, the people, the smells, everything. I feel like whenever I’m feeling unmotivated I pack my things in my bag and head over to a local coffee shop
If I’m being honest I’m probably going to make a whole coffee shop series.
Like trying out different coffee shops. Just a thought, but let me know what y’all think
06. I have two younger brothers. I am the oldest of three siblings. My brother JL and Enrique. It’s kind of weird being the oldest, mostly because growing up I wished I had older siblings and that I was the youngest. Non the less, its really cool being the oldest, sometimes.
07. My favorite season is fall, not only because it’s the best season there is, but also because I was born around fall time.
Okay so let me explain my love for Fall.
I’ve always loved the chilly mornings and the changing of the leaves. It’s this feeling of warmth that I get from the season. It’s when its not too cold for you to be stuck inside all day, but not too hot that you feel like your melting. I love to burn fall scented candles for hours and I like to enjoy my mornings with a warm cup of coffee. I admire fall fashion from scarves to warm boots and layering clothing. I love the food, the warmth of chili and comfort of pumpkin pie. I love everything fall has to offer.
08. My idol is Nina Dobrev, shoutout to all my Vampire Diaries fans. Honestly, I was so sad when the show ended that I cried like allot.
Nina Dobrev the main character of the show for the first 5 seasons was my favorite. I love the energy that she has and she is a child (in a good way!) one of her mottos is that even though you are getting older your should never stop having fun and just looking at her Instagram you can tell she likes to have a good time and she’s carefree and that’s kind of what I like to model myself in my life.
09. I can’t sleep with socks on. Even when its freezing cold outside I canst sleep with socks one. If I do go to sleep with socks on I wake up early in the morning and wake up with no socks.
10. Last, but not least. I didn’t read Harry Potter until I was in college. *gasp* I know right! it’s insane it’s one of my favorite book series now, but in high school, I never really got all the hype and then one day I sat down and started reading it and then I watched the movie and everything started to make sense.
If you haven’t read the books, which I felt like I was the only one, so there is probably more out there, give it a try it’s really good. Plus it has a really good message about bravery, courage and friendship.
