December Bullet Journaling

December Bullet Journal // Lilac and Icy Blue theme // www.candidlyyadi.com

Fall is officially over and winter is here.

It is the last month of the year before we start a whole new chapter, the last few pages for many of us on our agendas, but that doesn’t mean we get to slow down. Instead, this is a great moment for us to give in one last push, the last sprint towards the finish line.

Which means it’s time to start setting goals reflecting on how much we accomplished this year and also setting goals for a new year (or at least brain storming)

I’m excited for all the festivities that come with this season. Although winter is not my favorite season I still enjoy that the weather is starting to feel cooler and I love that it’s been raining more often. Nothing is better for me than sipping on hot coffee with a book cuddle up in my blankets.

For November I did a Fall theme Bullet Journal where you can see that I kept the lay out the same for this month.

This months theme however I wanted it to make a winter theme with snowflakes and light pastel color I called it my lavender-icy blue wonderland.

Winter time reminds me of snow and ice even though we don’t get snow here in California I still wanted to bring the festivities to life in my agenda.

THE COVER PAGE:

For the cover I decided to write the name title in purple. I’m not the best when it comes to to writing in cursive (but you got to give credit to a girl for trying). I drew different variations of snow flakes going down. I alternated with different designs to make the page for interesting since It was going to be a fairly simple page.

Monthly Bullet Journal Spread // www.candidlyyadi.com

THE MONTHLY VIEW:

This time I decided to start on Saturday since this month started on a Saturday. Last month, I drew the squares smaller because I had a social media growth tracker on the side which I decided to remove and place else where to give me the extra space. I like that these squares give me a little more room than the average monthly spread which gives me more space to write more.

As I mentioned before I like to write important dates to remember, holidays, and when bills are due. When I am planning my weekly spread I like to here first.

Monthly Financial Spread // Budget // Finances // www.candidlyyadi.com

BUDGET:

I included this in last months spend because I find it really helpful. I used to do this on a random piece of paper, but with Bullet Journaling I now have a place to place it at. Which I find that if you are looking to creating and sticking to a budget really help. It’s also very simple and straight forward.

On the left hand, I wrote my monthly bills these are things that are paid for every single month without delay.  It’s split up into the date because bills have to get paid on a due date and the amount. That way I already have an idea how much money I have to set up for bills throughout the month.

Underneath of my monthly bills is my savings tracker. I’m still working on making this more functional. I don’t love the lay out of it, but for now it will due.

If you have a savings tracker that you love, let me know in the comments below.

I write three to four financial goals that I have in mind to save for and write it down. I like to make small savings towards that. So for instance, even if a savings goal is something like saving up for a house or a new car is a big financial goal.

Breaking it down into smaller steps like starting the habit of even saving 5 dollars can make a a big difference.

On the right hand, I liked the lay out of it last month and decided to replicate it again. I separated the colors into date, item, store, amount, and need vs. want.

If you are looking to start budgeting yourself and cutting back on expenses I highly recommend for you to try out this speed for yourself.

Every time I make a purchase in the month that isn’t a bill. I like to write it here that way at the end of the month I can see where I over spent money on.

I don’t know what it is but Target has a way of making me spend more money in there than I probably should 😉 Having a monthly spread like this really helps me see where I use my monthly and where I can start cutting back on.

Possibly one of the most important things to include is a needs vs. wants section and checking in with yourself if something you purchase was something you needed idk like groceries vs. something that you randomly stumble on to and decided right there and there that you’d have to have it like a few bottles of wine. Even though it wasn’t on the grocery list.

Habit Tacker // Goal Setting // Blogging and Blog Tracker // www.candidlyyadi.com

HABIT TRACKER:

As you may or may not know. I am a big believer in breaking big goals into small habits. A goal can seem less daunting and intimidating if you take it with the right approach. For me, For instance, is working on this blog. I don’t have time to work on it throughout the day because I am working, but I try to make time for it in the morning. Which one of my goals is to wake up earlier and create a habit of become a productive morning person.

As I’m writing this my at 5:30 in the morning my little puppy hazel is curled up into a little ball in my feet snoring.

For instance, if your goal is to be super fit but you don’t know where to get started then I would recommend creating habits that create the perfect environment to motivate you to stay fit. Maybe a habit of your can be to wake up early and walk your dog for at least 30 minutes. It can be creating the habit of laying out your workout cloths.

I like creating a habit tracker because it helps me take small steps every single day towards the life that I want.

BLOG

On the right hand of that page, I have a page dedicated to my blog. I’ve really gotten back to blogging again and I want to make it consistent. This year, I told myself that I want to have a better handle of my social media and have fun with it, but also post consistently.

I think the consistency part of the hardest for me, but that is why I created a page dedicated to my blog. I have separate  note book where I like to write down my research, but this page is focus on quick brain storming and keeping track of my growth.

WEEKLY SPREAD:

Last, but not least, is my weekly spread. I really enjoy last months simplicity of having so much space to write down the things that I have to do. It’s very similar to last months weekly spread but just with this months theme colors.

Underneath I like to write a quote in big bold letters that ties the whole week together. For this weeks quote I wrote…

A GOAL WITHOUT A PLAN IS JUST A WISH

Because I truly believe that when you plan something out even as big as that goal and far our of your reach it may seem right now. Planning and taking small steps to get there makes a big difference and before you know it. You goal is complete and you’re moving on to something else.
