November Bullet Journal and Goal Setting

Fall Theme Bullet Journal // All Things I Love About Fall Theme // www.candidlyyadi.com

I’ve been in love with bullet journaling for a while but didn’t give a try until now because I thought I don’t have the right equipment for it, I’m not that artistic. I’ve realized that you don’t have to have everything to get starting. That is something that I find we tend to use as an excuse to not get started on something.

Until I decided that none of those things matter. I’m a creative person in my own way and I decided to try bullet journal because, why not? It’s fun and if you know anything about me you know that I LIVE for productivity.

I bought a dot notebook from Walmart it was really inexpensive and I got a pack of Crayola markers years ago and they work great and have lasted for so long. They are really good because they come with so many colors for so many different art projects.

Lately, I’ve been obsessing a little more than usual over watching productive videos and bullet journaling videos. I love that you are able to customize it to whatever works for you. There are some great beginner videos out there that I will link here, here and here

This month, I decided to focus on my favorite season of the year FALL. I watched AmandaRachLee video for her fall layout and feel in love with it. I decided to copy the layout. I do want to point out to those who don’t wish to follow the link that this is NOT my own idea it was AmandaRachLee November Bullet Journal set up. She shows a great video on step by step on how she created her layout. I would highly recommend for you guys to check it out. She also has a lot of great content for Bullet Journaling if you are interested in learning more about it.

Here is my take on it…

Fall Theme Bullet Journal // All Things I Love About Fall Theme // www.candidlyyadi.com

THE COVER PAGE:

I love that the main theme of this month is all things Fall because I’m trying to soak in as much fall things as possible before the season is over.

If you watch the video she made you’ll know that I did change some things out like I decided to draw books, Harry Potter glasses, a little satchel, and a coffee art. If I do say so myself it is very fall inspired looking and I love that it unique to me.

I guess that is the point of this, that even though you may not be as much of an artist as other people. You can start by mimicking them and you can start feeling comfortable on your own, doing your own thing.

Fall Monthly Spread For Bullet Journal // November 2018 Bullet Journal // www.candidlyyadi.com

THE MONTHLY SPREAD:

This is probably my favorite one from all of them and it is my monthly calendar. I love how she laid out a scarf to spread out the months. November was really laid back for me so I didn’t have too much planned out and I really enjoyed it.

I really like to have a monthly calendar so that I can check up daily on what is coming up for the week and I can look ahead. In it, I like to place important dates like holidays, birthdays, as well as things that I have to do.

FINANCES:

Managing my money was one of my goals this year. Which is why it is important for me to keep on top of it. I decided to create a monthly bill tracker, that way I know what is going to bills and what days they have to be paid by. I also want to start saving my money better for things that I want.

On the right hand, I posted my money tracker so that I know where I am spending most of my money and how much of it. I find this really helpful when trying to budget and I added a section where I label if it was a want or a need and every month when I am going through it I decided where I can save my money.

HABIT TRACKER

Want to know how to achieve all your goals? create small habits that make up the big picture! The way that I like to see habits are that they are small steps that we can take daily in order to achieve our biggest goals. It is easy to say things like, “I want to be (insert your goal here)” and It can seem like it’s something that is miles away, but taking small habit gets you there.

“The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one.” – Mark Twain.

Which is why I included a habit tracker in my bullet journal so that I can take small steps to achieve my bigger goals.

FALL BUCKETLIST

I decided to write down the 5 weeks of the month and 5 things that I really want to accomplish. It can be simple things like grabbing a cup of coffee to remind you of the fall time etc.  Having even done one thing throughout the fall month that are traditions that I like to do throughout the month are very important.

Weekly Spread November Bullet Journal // Fall Theme // www.candidlyyadi.com

WEEKLY SPREAD

This is where I like to write my goals for the week. I like to achieve three things at least every single day. Everything else on the list, I feel like I have accomplished allot. I write down things that I have to do for that week and that way I can see the day ahead. I also like that there is so much space.

This week I celebrated my birthday on Monday so I wrote a quote from one of my favorite people.

EVEN THOUGH WE ARE GROWING UP, WE SHOULD NEVER STOP GROWING UP – NINA DOBREV

OVERALL GOALS

I don’t do this every single month, but I do like to write out every season my goals I spread them from my Dream Goals to my Soul and Body goals. I make a few points of things that I can do constantly and daily in order to achieve my overall goals for the year. For instance, for health I want to start getting 8 hours of sleep and how do I achieve that? by creating a night routine and sleeping early. Another one of those goals is to start a YouTube channel and there are small steps that I can do daily to achieving that.

There you have it my first Bullet Journal post. I decided that I want to make this a constant thing and post it monthly that way maybe you will be inspired too.

Let me know what you think in the comments below and if you decided to do one as well.
