4th of July – The Look & Help To Fight For Change

Hello!

A couple of years ago I spent 4th of July by myself and even though I was by myself I still wanted to do something things to treat myself and to celebrate.

To be completely honest, my family doesn’t really celebrate it since that was the day my grandpa passed away a few years ago and it’s feels off to celebrate when someone you loved passed away on that day.

However, I still try to maintain myself in high spirits by doing some little things to honor the day since I the days means to me being grateful for freedom.

Which talking about it, we can’t celebrate a holiday of freedom when in the United States not everyone is free. More than ever it is important to talk about the BLM movement. In my previous post, I did made a post of some black owned businesses, artists, bloggers etc.

I’ll also be leaving some links to helps out by signing, sharing or spreading awareness of The BLM.

These are some things from the previous year.

The previous year I wore this top which to be honest I’ve had it for so long that I’m not 100% sure were its from but I think it might be from Windsor. I like that it’s blue and white stripped, cropped, light weight, and the ruffled sleeves. I wore it with a small choker necklace that is from Brandy Melville.

The make up, I kept most of it pretty neutral except for the bold red lips and also the sparkles I decided to add to my look afterwards when it felt too simple.

Finally, my hair I had it pretty short then, but I did a half up – half down hair do. I did a bun with the top section of my hair and just kept the rest of my hair down.

Besides the makeup look I decided to make myself a treat and had some ice cream with chocolate, blue berries, and some raspberries.

This year thought, I decided to keep things more simple and laid back in terms of my style and also in terms of 4th of July because of COVID. Instead, I decided to spend this day focusing on things that make me happy.

Links to Help out during Black Lives Matter Below: I like that not only does it focus on ways to help for BLM but also other issues around the world right now like The Yemen Crisis. I encourage you on this day to use your voice to support a positive cause.
