Why I use The Dream Life Workbook to achieve my goals.

Why I use The Dream Life Workbook to achieve my goals.
This is NOT a sponsored post. All opinions are my own. :)

Can you believe that it is already June! I know that I can’t. This year has really flown by and that means 6 months till the end of 2022. Before we get ahead of ourselves I wanted to talk about a useful tool that has helped me stay on track of achieving this years goals or at least making great strides and getting closer to achieving those goals.

I purchased The Dream Life Workbook by The Lamare at the beginning of the year and I can honestly say that after using it for 6 months it is a tool that I will definitely be repurchasing in the future.

Here are some of the amazing tools this Journal offers.

By the Way, these opinions are all my own. This is not a sponsored post or anything like that. It is a tool that has helped me and I hope you find it useful and if it might be something that you are interested in as well to helping you achieve your goals.

This is also a great purchase for stationary lovers, go getters, dreamers.

Things I love about the overall layout

I love how well thought out this journal is. It starts off with a beautiful message from the Lamare team and after leads to the Tables of Context which not many agendas have.

Every single page is numbered and It makes it easier to find the specific page you are looking for.

It has five main categories: A place to reflect on your previous year, thinking about your dreams, setting goals once you know what you dreams are, a place for self-care, and finally a place to take action towards those goals.

Each category has an inspiring quote and guide on how to best use each page. It’s great because it not only shows you a page layout but also explains how you can benefit from each section.

The overall journal looks like it was well thought, It includes two black ribbons to help book mark specific pages that you want to reference. It also lays flat, which is easier to write.

Another benefit to this journal is the size. It is perfect because it is compact and it is easy to carry in your bag and also it is big enough that as someone who loves to write has the space to write down all of her ideas and feel like there is enough space for it.

Overall, I like how it is a good size journal but each page was thought out beautifully and while using it not only has it helped me realize what my goals are but has offered the structures that I need in order to actually achieving those goals and keeping track of how I managed to achieve those goals.

REFLECTING

I think this journal starts off in a great place and that is reflecting on the previous year. While many agendas or journals start by writing down your goals and starting new habits, etc.

This journal really understands that in order to plan new goals or adjust your already existing goals you need to reflect on the previous year. It gives you thoughtful prompts to reflect on what worked, what didn’t, what lessons you learned, and how can you use all of that previous knowledge to be better this year.

At the end of the reflection section there is a page where you rate various categories of your life from 1-10.

I personally filled it out in January when I received the journal, but I found that I went back in June and asked myself where I was in these categories and it was helpful to see the comparison from January to June.

I can’t wait to go back at the end of the year in December and see how much I have I moved up or down the scale and that will help me adjust my goals in the new year.

This category is specifically helpful because in order to be the happiest and the most fulfilled human being we need to have all of these things in order. We can be financially well off, but if our health isn’t on track then we don’t feel truly happy.

DREAMS

In the second section, the dream section, it’s more meditative because these pages help you reflect and really dig deep into what you value and what you want in this life. You start off by writing 10 Dreams and you don’t have to over think it or think that it will never happen, etc.

It’s just 10 big dreams you have and then it helps you breaks down your dreams and get to the root of why that dream matters to you.

For Instance, I wrote that I wanted to be the first millionaire in my family and while that might seem like a far stretch, at the root of that dream, I know that really I just want to be financially secure so that I can be independent and help out my family.

There is also a category that I think most people will find useful. We live in a time of positivity where we are told to just think positive and things will workout and while I don’t fully believe that just thinking positive helps fix the root of the problem.

I think that being aware of out inner voice is important. This is especially crucial for when we are writing down our goals because what we think of ourselves matters when it comes to showing up for ourselves.

For example, one of the limiting beliefs that I have (I’m still working on) is that I was not smart enough and as much as I would love to tell myself that I am smart. I have to go to the root of where this thinking came from and show myself a new empowering belief. I love it because you have a place to be completely honest with yourself.

This section also covers structures for day to day success such as daily routines, monthly habits tackers, and various dream lists.

Every month focus on building one habit and this tracker helps with that. I am a firm believer that creating healthy habits helps you make a big difference in your overall goals.

ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS

The last two categories of the agenda are monthly pages which focus on writing down your intention for that month, writing your goals, and the actionable steps you will take to achieve that goal, and a weekly overview to help you breakdown the goals weekly.

It includes a review section where you write downs your wins and challenges and helps you reflect on progress and how you can improve for the upcoming month.

It has two dotted pages at the end of each month tracker and this is helpful because you can customize it and make it work for which ever project you are working on.

Speaking about projects something that I like about this journal is that at the end it it has a section for planning and working on projects. It has a to-do list section and a due dates and a reward section at the bottom.

This has been helpful for me as one of my goals for this year is to declutter my life and it’s a great place to keep track of what needs to get done.

The last pages are dotted pages and It can be used for whatever your heart desires. I personally, love these pages as a place to add images where I visualize my dream life.

I have a blog post where I talk about creating a vision board and why it’s important. Since moving back home and having to share a space with my family I can’t place them on the wall, so I like to put them in a place where I know I can always reference back to and remind me why I am working so hard to achieve the things that I am trying to achieve.

The journal is such a great investment into creating systems that help you track and achieve your goals. I know that I will continue to use it and I would love to write an end of the year follow up and give you an even further idea of how the journal has been working for me for an entire year.

There are some things that I wish we’re improve about this agenda such as the gold foil. Sadly, it has slowly faded away and I do tend to care well for my agendas as I see them as something that I want to keep and reference back to.

While the cover is technically hard cover. I wish it was steadier as I feel like It bends easily.

I also do wish the paper was of thicker quality as I notice that inks sometimes bleed through or denting of the writing goes through.

With that being said. I love how it is laid out so it is something that I will continue to use and will be purchasing in the future as it has helped me tremendously in achieving my goals.

I hope you found this blog post helpful.
