Quarter 1 of 2026 Update and New Goals

Quarterly Goals

March has officially come to a close. In all honesty, 2026 did not start off strong. From being sick for an entire month with strep, the flu, and allergies. To feeling sick and unmotivated from taking Zoloft and Lexa Pro. Overall, the feeling for the first quarter was feeling defeated.

I am someone that is very goal oriented and my body and mind not cooperating was really tough on me mentally.

Despite those challenges, I believe everyday is a new opportunity to reinvent yourself and start again.

So, even if you have failed this far. Know that today is another opportunity to do better.

Overall, If I were to rate and go over the goals that I did or did not accomplish. I would rate the first quarter a 2 out of 5 stars. However, it was not all bad. There were moments of joy within the midst of it all.

First, was my skin care. My skin has never felt this buttery smooth. I used a lot of my lotions, skin care items, etc. I would moisturize my body 2x a day, in the morning and before going to sleep and I noticed the biggest difference in the smoothness of my skin.

A second win, that has to do a little with the first one, was using up a lot of products and not going out to buy more. I have accumulated lotions, hair products, skin care, shampoos, conditioners, etc. and this year, I have really gone through everything that I own and really used it up. I am being intentional with what I already have.

The last big win has been listening to my body. Sadly, it took being sick, being burnt out, feeling unmotivated, etc. to get to this point, but listening to my body and really checking in with myself. It’s about respecting my time. I started to read the bible and really connect with my religion and that has been a moment of serenity for me.

Empties

Despite the previous quarter not being my strongest quarter there has been a section of my life that I have been excited about and that is my emptiness. I have been collecting some of the products that I have used and there is a pile of things that I will not be rebuying anymore and products that have become my staples.

New Quarter Goals

With a new quarter comes a time to sit down and get real clear on my goals, habits, and intentions. I have talked about this before, and will link that blog post. It has been one of my favorite blog posts to write till this day.

I have three main goals for different categories and will break them down in that format.

Health

  • Stretching daily – I’m in my 30’s -nough said.
  • Hydrate – start with 40 oz daily (I know that is not a lot, but I have been struggling with drinking water. So, this is a realistic goal for me).
  • Pilates by Izzy – I want to complete a challenge this year and everyone has been raving about it. I also have always wanted to try pilates, but it can be intimidating going to a studio, if you have never gone before. This is a great start for me. I purchased some equipment off of Amazon to help me.

Creativity

  • Blog – I want to go back to my blog and be creative again. Taking pictures and editing them. Writing blog posts (Even if they are not perfect).
  • Painting – art can be intimidating. If you have always thought that you are not really good at it. Whatever that means. The whole point of art is that it’s just that art. So, getting into painting and being creative in a way that feels intuitive.
  • Social Media – I feel like we can all get into a funk of wanting our Instagram to be perfectly curated or we think too much of what others might say. However, changing my mindset on what social media is supposed to be like will all for creative freedom. I just want to have fun and post silly videos and silly pictures.

Other

  • Find a part time fun job. I have always wondered what my life would look like if I worked at a coffee shop or a book store.
  • Reading – I really want to get back into reading. I feel like the easiest way might be reading fantasy again. That is one of my favorite genres.
