I normally don’t splurge when it comes to makeup. I like to stick to my basics and keep it relatively inexpensive. However, I’ve always wanted to try makeup from Dior. There display looks classy and elegant on the Sephora shelves. Not to mention their packaging is beautifully made and the products are top quality.
Here is my review of the “Dior skin Forever”
Pros
I really love the bottle, It’s a nice lightly frosted glass. The Pump which gives a good amount of foundation, not too much, not too little.
It contains SPF 35, which is amazing for both summer and winter time.
The foundation does not feel heavy at all. It’s probably one of the lightest foundations I’ve ever worn! If I could compare it to a makeup product its probably like tinted moisturizer.
Which is amazing, It’s light weight feels like a second skin and it give light coverage that is build-able. I really enjoy the feeling of the foundation. My skin feels like it can breath WHILE wearing Foundation.
I also really like the formulation. I tend to get blotchy nose through the day and I’m very active in my job. Running around playing sports and in the sun. I really like that it doesn’t crease or rubs off.
AND I LOVE how it smells thats probably my favorite thing. I feel like roses or something floral is infused in the foundation, It’s Lovely. Its not over powering or like a perfume. Just really subtle.
Cons
I don’t really have allot of complains about the foundation. One would be thought is that I fid it difficult to blend out. I still need to play around with it a little more, but it’s not just a damp beauty blender kind of foundation.
Second, It’s not my shade. This is probably nothing to do with the actual foundation and more so that I was incorrectly matched. I went in to Sephora to get my skin matched. I was matched with the color 030 and it looked fine at the store when they tried it on, but when I wore it the next day, It didn’t blend all to well with the color of the rest of my body. Its a few shades darker than my skin so I’ll have to wait till I build a tan.
Which will be a great foundation for summer since its light weight (check), contains SPF 35 (check), Everlasting (check), Formula to cover poars (check).
Third, I would have loved if the product came with a little more product. I have only used it for a little, so I don’t know how long it’s going to last.
Finally, Its a really great product. For me the Pros outweighed the Cons. Its easy to see why Christian Dior is such a luxury brand because you can tell that quality is put into everything the product stands. Would I buy this again, yes, I would it would be a great foundation to have for special occasions, but mostly for the summer when I want to feel put together and fresh.
