Okay so am I the only one who has so much homework, school, and work and all I want to do is get home into some pajamas and watch Netflix? Anyone, Anyone at all?! Okay, so I am very much guilty of this. I know some of you guys out there are too.(Playfully squints eyes and points the index finger).
So I’ve been wanting to become a morning person for a long time only to realize that being a person comes from way before the sun rises it actually starts when the sun sets.
That’s right if you want to know how to become a morning person then having a nightly routine is crucial.
1. Prepare the night before
As college students, or even high school students (or pretty much everyone who has a busy life) you have to make every minute count. To ensure that you get sufficient sleep, instead of waking up early to prepare your clothes, food, or bag just lay it out the night before. Laying it out the night before will ensure that you won’t forget your homework. It can actually mean you can wear something that matches. It means saving you time early in the morning.
02. Shower
Showering late at night is awesome. Not only will you save time in the morning, but it feels really nice to be squeaky clean while going to bed. For me, since I live in California, it feels great to take showers at the night because you feel so refresh going to sleep and it cools you down so you can rest.
03. Melatonin
Talking about rest. Melatonin is great for you. Your body naturally produces Melatonin to help you relax and fall asleep, but you can easily drink melatonin and it will help your body fall asleep faster.*
04. Turn off technology
Turning off technology in this day and age is so difficult because it feels like if you are gone for even a few minutes your going to miss something important. trust me, you won’t. everything is going to be okay if you turn off your phone or computer, and if its really hard to turn technology off there are some great apps out there that won’t allow you to have access to social media during certain hours, so its like putting a timer on how much technology you are allowing yourself.
05. Reward yourself
From being a super productive all day you should make some time to reward yourself. All your day is filled with work and obligations, but you should always make some time for you. For instance, you can watch an episode of your favorite TV show, (But only 1!) or you can savor some delicious ice cream, or spend time with friends and family. That way you can look forward to your reward each night.
